MYLAN

MYLAN is a three years photographic project about the personal portraiting and experiencing the city of Milan (IT) through photography.
This project started as a video project:
"Personal Cities"
Experiencing a city is a personal event.
A continous discover, with a slow change.
DISCOVER A CITY IS A PERSONAL EXPERIENCE,
but at the same time is a shared experience with a community of people that are also living their personal experience of the same places.
A city belongs to everyone and to no one at the same time.
A city is personal and shared at the same time.
Milan is very poliedric and it has different faces, all of them together depict (or they try) the entirety of it.
It can be a temporary experience,
a passage
or a lifetime experience,
every of these experiences create personal stories and feelings regarding it and the city turns to be something for each individual.
My prospective is a chance of portraiting my Milan.
I went around in the majority of Milan’s neighbourhoods, walking around, go through them, and shooting different sides of Milan.
